Pianist Sarah Cahill’s The Future is Female features the music by women from around the globe, ranging from the 17th century to the present day. The program features compositions by Teresa Carreño (Venezuela), Frangiz Ali-Zadeh (Azerbaijan), Chen Yi (China), Vítzslava Kaprálová (Czechoslovakia), and Florence Price (United States) and many others. The New York Times called Sarah ‘fiercely gifted’ and the San Diego Tribune wrote that "she is a vessel through which musical ideas can pass, a communicator whose technique is put at the service of empathy and understanding."
